Duration: 4 days / 3 nights Departs: 7.30 am Day 1: Departs Nairobi, tour drive passes the small industrial town of Thika. You cross the Tana River and climb into the lush farmlands of the Kikuyu people. Arriving in time for lunch at Mountain Lodge. Dinner and overnight at the Mountain Lodge, for the night you can view animals as they come to lick salt or sip from the waterhole. Day 2: Mountain Lodge - Samburu. After a relaxed breakfast, proceed further north entering the warm and dry semi desert. The Samburu National Reserve has all the big five and the Uaso Nyiro River, which flows through the game reserves, is infested with crocodiles. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Serena Lodge. Day 3: Two games drives are provided, one before breakfast and one after breakfast. Afternoon is at leisure besides the swimming pool of the lodge. Meals and overnight at Samburu Serena Lodge. Day 4: Early morning drive, then after breakfast drive back towards Nairobi, arriving in Nairobi at about late afternoon. |
