A visit to both Samburu and the legendary Mt. Kenya is a wonderful opportunity to see Kenya’s wildlife and climb Kenya’s highest mountain.  This combination will cater for a truly unforgettable holiday.  In Samburu, get to be wild and enjoy viewing the nightly visits from several large crocodiles while at Mt Kenya, get in touch with your serene side by exploring the tranquil mountain.

Day 1:  

Tour drive passes through the small industrial town of Thika.  You cross the Tana River and climb into the lush farmlands of the Kikuyu people, arriving in time for lunch at either Sweetwaters tented camp or Mountain Lodge.   For the night, you can view animals as they come to lick salt or sip water from the waterhole.  Enjoy a wonderful view of Mount Kenya, the snow capped mountain.  Dinner and overnight at a lodge of your choice.

Day 2:  Mt Kenya -Samburu. 

After a relaxed breakfast, proceed further north entering the warm and dry semi desert.  The Samburu National Reserve has all the big five and Uaso Nyiro River, which flows through the game reserve and is infested with crocodiles.  Enjoy the vast wildlife in Samburu.  Dinner and overnight at an accommodation facility of your choice.

Day 3: 

Two game drives, one before breakfast and the other after.  Spend the afternoon swimming and soaking up the sun beside the pool.  Meals and overnight at the accommodation facility of your choice.

Day 4: 

Early morning drive.  Head back to Nairobi after breakfast.  Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon.
