The Ngorongoro Crater is a dramatic range of volcanic mountains that straddles the Rift Valley escarpment to the south and east of Serengeti is the place you have to be when you visit Tanzania.

The Ngorongoro Crater which is part of the Serengeti National Park is the world’s largest unbroken, unflooded caldera.  It was formed when a giant volcano exploded and collapsed on itself some two to three million years ago.  It is 610m deep and has a 260km² floor.

Experience a spectacular game drive into the belly of the crater where you will not only get to view the crater but encounter wildlife over areas as diverse as swampland, open savannah, grassland, forest and lake.
